Agenda for the General Meeting of the Northern Development Forum at the Christ the King Parish Hall, Accra on Sunday,November 23, 2008.
1. Opening prayer.
2. Welcome address by the Chairman of NDF ( Dr. Hakeem Wemah) Summary of activities and plans of NDF since the last General Meeting:-
a) NDF Delegation meeting with, Mrs. Mary Chinery-Hesse, Chief Adviser to the President of Ghana. ( By Dr. Hafiz Adam)
b) NDF ‘s Message to the Frafras and Dagaabas during their Annual Games on Sunday, November 2, 2008. ( Dr. H. Wemah)
c) Correspondence:
i) Letter of Appreciation to the Speaker and Members of Parliament on the Passing of the Northern Development Fund Bill.
ii) Proposed letter to the President of Ghana after having assented the NDFund Bill.
iii) Congratulatory letters to : 1) Togbe Afede of Asogli Traditional Area on his election as President of the V. R.House of Chiefs 2) The Presidents of the three N. R. Houses of Chiefs.
d) Press Conference on the Passing of the NDFund Bill ( Mr. Bennet Mahama).
e) NDF at the Northern Students’ Union programme in Wa ( Dr. Sulley Gariba)
3. Registration of NDF and the setting up of a Secretariat ( Mr. S. Adam & Ben Assorow).
4. Reports from the following Committees:
a) Finance and Fund-Raising
b) Reconstruction ( e.g. Long term Development Plan)
c) Public Affairs & Drafting of Documents.
d) Databank and Research ( Registration, and materials for the web site)
5. Post-mortem of Interaction with Presidential candidates of the four major political parties in Ghana on Sunday, October 12, 2008 ( Mrs.S. Mahama & Ing. M. Adombire)
6. Brief Messages from Identifiable Groups e.g NDF Youth Group, Women, Students, Africa Peace Club.
7. Reception for a cross-section of people from the North in Accra and Tema.
 
8. NDF Durbars in each of the Regions of the North -2008/9.
 
9. Other matters and Chairman’s Closing Remarks.

NDF is a non-partisan, non-religious, and non-tribal body that is interested in Peace and D development of the three Northern Regions of Ghana.
